When it comes to Lodging

What I considered as Luxury. This is ANAR Camp, the Ger camp that provides traditional nomad style accommodation @ USD15 per night.

This is where some of us met for the first time; where we set off to work & return to; where we went crashing into each other Gers for some chatty sessions; where we heard the loudest snore ever coming from another Ger; where we were told off for being too noisy when we gathered around a broken lamp (the likes of Bonfire) under the stars laughing about Singapore English (lah, meh, leh, lor etc); where Jackie wonders why the broken lamp we sat around never lights up; where we set off trekking into the beautiful Orkhon Valley; where we had our farewell dinner with the family. This is the place where it all began…

Mind your head when you enter! We had a few bad bumps.

The 4 wall Ger that we stayed in.

The bed that we sink into after a hard day of work under the sun.

The iron stove (with chimney) that we burnt wood to keep us warm at night.

The amazing flask that still keeps water ‘hot’ even after 2-3 days.

Communal WC / Shower facilities

Very impressed with the level cleanliness. They actually have people cleaning up the WC/Shower/Sink after every use!

3 shower rooms at the far end – not necessary 24/7 hot showers.

Proper seated toilet with toilet roll! Way better than what I thought would be hole in the ground. They may not flush all the time though.
