When hunger strikes…

Mongolian salted milk tea

First night dinner – salad & Sheppard's pie

Pack lunch we had on siteVery salty fried noodle with mutton

Fried noodle again, veggie / mutton omelette with rice

                                                                              Stir fry beef with black fungus & Potato salad

Noodle soup with jerky (mutton & horse?). Think there were pieces of liver too.

The entrails of the goat (boiled innards) that were thankfully not served to us.

 















Milk heated and left for several hours to form the clotted layer on top - nice if eaten with sugar.




A change from days of meaty Mongolia cuisine, we went for Korean food.

55km northeast of Ulaanbaatar, Terelj National Park is just a short ‘van’ ride from the city.
